IntroductionFor Parents & Educators

Island Lake Group Informal Science content is offered as enrichment activities complementing an existing science curriculum. Lessons and activities are identified by OSPI (Washington's Office of Superintendent of Instruction) grade level and specific learning objectives. Our videos are not intended to be a complete, stand-alone grade-level curriculum. You are encouraged to select topics from our library that you feel will enhance your child's vocabulary of science knowledge and understanding.  Our mission is to promote interest in science and instill a life-long desire to learn about the natural world around us. 

We believe Primary and Middle School years are extremely important in the development of student success in the sciences. Michael Jones, ILG's innovator, along with Aaron Cleveland, our IT/technology expert, brings over 90 years of combined public and informal science education content development and delivery methodologies to our project.
